The Breezy were a Texas girl group during the late 1960s. They are best remembered for their 1967 hit song, "It's Gone", a No. 1 pop hit. Breezy comprised Susan Pile (lead singer), Kathy Petroski (second lead vocals), and Dolores Hamby (background vocals).

"It's Gone"
Their only charted entry was their own version of "It's Gone", which first appeared on the Let the Good Times Roll EP. "It's Gone" reached No. 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 in May 1967.

A mix-up at the Hal Leonard Publishing Company briefly prevented the group's success; Cynthia Weil, who wrote the group's song for them, had issued the contract for "It's Gone" to another group, the Shindigs. After learning of the situation, the Hal Leonard Company rushed an alternate version to the charts. "It's Gone", now retitled as "It's Gone (Alternate Version)", climbed to No. 45 on the Billboard Hot 100 that June. The version appeared on the Hal Leonard album The Shindigs...And the Breezy Who Made 'Em Say "Hej" as well as the group's greatest hits album, The Best of the Breezy.

The group won a publishing royalty of $13,000 from Hal Leonard on the "It's Gone" success.

Other chart successes
The group also had minor success with their cover of "Tell Her No", written by Billboard magazine's Pete Seeger, as well as "Nobody But Me", a jazz instrumental written and originally performed by Wes Montgomery.
